About Us

Together in Harmony was started by Richard Lipsey in 2020 as a forum to get young musicians together to perform virtually. The first concert was organized for the Indian Women's Ice Hockey team to connect the young musicians to the only women's Ice Hockey team in India. Subsequently, the musicians started organizing virtual concerts for Nursing homes in the US to provide an avenue for the nursing home residents to be entertained while they are stuck indoors due to the pandemic. These concerts were very well received and the team has so far organized 50+ concerts to date.

In June, 2021, Rick transferred ownership of the organizational duties to student musicians and it is currently being run by the following board members:

Damla Yesil

Damla Yesil recently graduated from LaGuardia High School, where she studied Vocal Music. She also studied Classical Voice at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program, and will be attending Harvard University as a dual-degree program student studying Vocal Performance at the Berklee College of Music.

Miles Levine

Miles Levine, 15, is a student at Hastings High School in New York. He currently studies with Astrid Schween at Juilliard Pre-college.

Neil Verma

Neil Verma, 17, has been playing the piano for 4 years and currently learns under Ms. Stanka Spasikova at Scherzo Music studio in Summit, NJ. Neil has been learning Indian Classical Vocal Music for the last 8 years and is currently learning from Pt. Sanjoy Bannerjee, a fine ICM vocalist of International reputation.

Tansen Patel-Bose

Tansen Patel-Bose began cello at the age of four with Emily Brausa, and she currently studies with Alex Croxton. She studied for five years at the Mannes Pre-College Program before joining to the New Jersey Youth Symphony in 2021.
